You may or may not know it, but I’m a one-man show here at MyHelpSource. While I can imagine that I’ll open the site for guest posts at some point, for now it’s just me.
Thus, the time off-line as I donned my dozen or so hats to move to a new host and new blogging platform.
There are many reasons I decided to go through the pain of moving, but at the top of my list was my desire to give you a better experience.
From faster load times to greater options for types of content to the flexibility to display MyHelpSource well whether you’re reading on your laptop, smartphone, or tablet.
If you’re interested in this kind of thing, I am now using the GeneratePress Theme and WordPress (.org, not .com — I’ll share more about that and all my tools at GuyEWood.com at later date), which I’ve parked at Bluehost.
I’ve got to be honest with you, I did not realize at all how many different tools I’d use or companies I would deal with when I decided to move from my previous all-in-one blogging platform — TypePad.
TypePad handled pretty much everything for me and all the tools were made to work together, so it was quite a bit easier. However, that platform doesn’t have anywhere near the flexibility or capabilities of a self-hosted WordPress site. I’m actually a little surprised that TypePad is still in business. That said, TypePad was a good place for me to start, but you deserve better, so here I am.
Please check back periodically. I expect to be up and fully rolling very soon with fresh content, an opportunity for sign up for FREE email updates (including content available only to my subscribers), and much more.
In the meantime, sign up for the RSS feed so you never miss an update.
I look forward to sharing MyHelpSource with you.
