Three words: make it personal.
"I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me."
(Paul, Galatians 2:20)
Have you ever really noticed just how personal Paul's declaration is here?
He uses no fewer than seven personal pronouns (e.g., I and me) to emphasize his relationship with Jesus Christ.
You see, with Jesus, it's personal, and He wants it to be personal with us, too.
Do you want a close relationship with Jesus?
Then make it personal.
Jesus loves me, this I know...
